The Nuclear Safety Directive 2014/87/Euratom requires EU Member States to undertake, every six years, national assessments on a specific topic related to nuclear safety, followed by a peer review by other Member States, with the European Commission as an observer.
The first topical per review concerns the 'ageing management' of nuclear reactors – specifically the ageing effects on structures, systems or components.
This webpage is designed to collect the feedback from the general public and stakeholders on the national reports prepared by Member States and other participating countries. The reports are available for consultation here: EU Member States / Other countries.
The website is open for the submission of questions and comments on the National Action Plans between 8 January and 28 February 2018.
The questions and comments submitted will be forwarded to the relevant countries who will present their answers in written form to rapporteurs and to the ENSREG secretariat. Please note that ENSREG will not reply individually to the persons presenting the question.
